The Kennebec District's primary conservation projects

Below we have listed our various conservation projects. This way you may go to a particular project and then take a look at the various materials specific to that project. Included will be:

  • A brief description of the the project we are working on.

  •  Any reports about progress.

  • Maps to help identify the area and features of the watershed.

  •  Identify partners and others working in that area.

  •  Some pictures of work or plans for work.

Recently we reviewed the various Conservation Projects managed by the Kennebec District in the past 10 years. In that time we have managed 22 Maine DEP 319 grants. With just those grants we spent $1,780,000 on conservation work and generated another $1,706,000 of matching resources for conservation work.
