Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF)

Funding Purpose:

The purpose of this opportunity is to support the planning, design, and construction of water quality infrastructure projects in Maine, including wastewater and stormwater improvements.

The Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) is administered by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection in partnership with the Maine Municipal Bond Bank. Assistance is provided through financing that may include loans and loan forgiveness (principal forgiveness), depending on project eligibility and available funds.

Eligible applicants include:
Municipalities, quasi-municipal entities, and other eligible public water and infrastructure providers as defined by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection.

Assistance structure:
Projects are financed through loans that may include partial or full loan forgiveness depending on program criteria, project eligibility, and funding availability. Final terms vary by project.
