A live staking workshop at the 7 Lakes Homestead Property, led by District Forester Jared Gregory with the Maine Forest Service, demonstrated best practices for erosion control, including proper installation, species selection, and site-specific considerations.
The Maine Forest Service and the Maine Association of Conservation Districts offer a program that helps Maine-based logging and forestry professionals access temporary skidder bridges for use during timber harvesting operations.
