Kennebec County SWCD Supervisor Election – Ballots Now Available
The election of Kennebec District Supervisors to the Kennebec County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) Board determines which conservation projects and priorities are addressed by District staff. The Board currently includes nine members. Supervisors and associate supervisors play a vital role in securing District funding, expanding services, and providing leadership to help the District grow and develop.
Candidate Information
Gary Wheeler is running unopposed for a full term beginning January 2026. Gary has previously served as a Supervisor for the Kennebec County SWCD and owns property in Augusta, Maine.
How to Vote
Due to the government shutdown, in-person voting is currently unavailable. Ballots can be obtained by downloading them here or requesting one by contacting the District via phone or email.
Complete your ballot by marking your selected candidate.
Place the completed ballot in an envelope with your name and town clearly written on the return address.
Mail the envelope to:

Augusta, ME 04330Upon receipt, District staff will verify voter eligibility from the return address, then place the ballot in the official ballot box to ensure a secret vote.
All ballots must be received by noon on Monday, November 10, 2025.
By voting, you are confirming that you are a registered voter residing in or owning land within the Kennebec County Soil & Water Conservation District boundary.
