Maine Outdoor Heritage Fund

Grant Purpose:

The Maine Outdoor Heritage Fund (MOHF) supports projects that maintain, improve, and expand state and local natural resource conservation programs and associated compatible public uses in Maine.

Eligible applicants include:

Any organization that can be established as an insured vendor with the State of Maine as well as any Maine State Agency may apply through an authorized Natural Resource Agency Representative.

Funding range:
Not specified on the program page. See the “Previous Grants Awarded” section for examples of past award amounts.

Application deadlines:

The MOHF operates on a semi-annual cycle:

  • January 15 (Spring) / July 15 (Fall): Initial contact with a Natural Resource Agency Representative

  • February 20 (Spring) / August 20 (Fall): Full Grant Proposal Application submission

  • March 1 (Spring) / September 1 (Fall): Final Grant Proposal Application submission
